Robert Jewett Law, PLLC is a law firm for teachers and other professionals with difficult schedules. As a teacher myself, I understand the budget and scheduling issues that can make it difficult for work with an attorney. I offer a fixed-fee on most services so you know your costs upfront and can make an informed decision about how to best meet your needs.

If you prefer to do everything via the internet, I can do that! I can also meet with you in person at more convenient times – like late in the day when it’s easier to get away from work. Trade the traffic-filled parking nightmare of a trip downtown for a relaxed meeting in my office or your home in the Cypress area. In emergency cases, I can come to the hospital or care facility to meet with you or a loved one.

I believe people hire attorneys to solve or prevent problems — without going broke in the process! I am here to help you survive what seems like the “zombie apocalypse” — in a compassionate, cost-effective manner.

I am lucky enough to be 6’ 9”. But before I hit my growth spurt as a kid, I was a walking twig. And older kids at my school took great delight in chasing me. I was usually quick enough to avoid them (the advantage of being light!), but the experience has always stuck with me.

Later in life, I learned about another kind of bullying: people using their knowledge or position to coerce those who did not know their rights. I saw people claiming the law was X when it was really Y, and because my friends did not know the law—and could not afford an attorney—they had no meaningful choice but to go along.

That is why I became a lawyer. Whether it is family members trying to thwart the wishes of the departed or just dealing with the alien landscape of Probate, I will defend you from being bullied.

I still do some teaching (calculus and computer science), but my real joys are hanging out with my family. I am still a guy from East Texas. So as often as possible I am playing golf with my Dad and my daughter Becca, playing on-line games with my daughter Katie, or hiking with my beloved wife Kathryn. As you can see, I married way out of my league!
